Gustavo Toral A.T. Sales & Support/Educator/Cyber Security Consultant
Gustavo’s journey into the world of assistive technology began in the late 2000s, riding along with his Uncle Mark throughout the Northeast as he demonstrated the Eyegaze Edge® AAC device to clients. What started as childhood road trips quickly became something deeper: a personal connection to the field. When Mark later recognized that Gustavo’s younger brother had dyslexia and recommended a Scanning Pen, Gustavo saw firsthand how the right technology could change a life.
After spending four years teaching English in Thailand and Japan, Gustavo returned to the United States and discovered that
Scanning Pens — the same company whose device helped his brother — was hiring. It was a natural fit. As a sales representative, he supported more than 1,000 school districts across the southern U.S., delivering trainings, presentations, and hands‑on demonstrations to help families and educators address literacy challenges.
Gustavo then joined
LoganTech, where he managed sales and social media marketing for a mid‑tech AAC and physical‑access technology company. His work took him across the U.S. and internationally — including Croatia and the UAE — showcasing AAC devices, switch access tools, and sensory room technologies. The story behind the Logan ProxTalker, created by a father for his son, resonated deeply with him and reinforced his belief in technology designed with empathy and purpose.
Most recently, Gustavo completed the Cloud and Security Network Administration program at The Academy of South Florida and is actively pursuing a career in Cybersecurity. Rather than being a departure from his path, this new chapter expands it: he’s bringing a security‑focused, systems‑level understanding of technology into the Assistive Technology world. With this blend of educational experience, AT expertise, and cybersecurity training, Gustavo is proud to launch
Access Point AT with Mark — helping professionals identify the right tools for the individuals they support and leaving his mark, even in the smallest of ways.
